Bikram Yoga is hot yoga

Bikram Yoga is widely known as the hot yoga. It was also called the Bikram Method Yoga. In fact Bikram Choudhury was the beginner of Bikram Yoga, but with time many wrong ways of spelling out bikram yoga started to be used: bickram yoga,  bikhram yoga, bikrahm yoga, bikrham yoga,  bikrum yoga.

Bikram Yoga

It was Bikram Choudhury, that gave yoga solutions to some of modern medical problems. He was the founder and a yoga practitioner. He evolved Bikram Yoga after he encountered an accidental injury in a weight-lift accident. He was so stubborn that he had revealed some healing benefits in employing some yoga exercises. A lot of people have tried the benefits of Bikram Yoga so the practice was communicated and many people continued to practice it. There are some people who do not believe in the benefits of Bikram Yoga. Bikram Choudhury developed Bikram Yoga with the help of some scientists. While Bikram was on his research at Tokyo University, he discovered that the healing operation takes place when all the body parts are serving well, are conditioned and reinforced. If the body is weak, applying the yoga practice and healing method will be hard to obtain.

The scientists from the University of Tokyo University Hospital showed that Bikram Yoga has medical gains. Some of its benefits include the repairing of tissues and assists in curing chronic ills. The findings and benefits were submitted at the International Medical Conference in the year 1972. It was expressed that Bikram Yoga has the aptitude to influence the body internally.

Dhanurasana - Pow Pose

Bikram has come up with twenty-six pose exercises which are to be practiced every day. In doing so, a cure in the body can be easily obtained. Bikram or hot yoga is a series of yoga poses done in a heated room, which is usually maintained at a temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Some positions are collected with the combination of the western and eastern disciplines in Yoga which focuses on the stretching out of the muscles, tendons, organs, nerves, glands and ligaments.

So, there are many reasons why you should exercise Bikram Yoga. The rewards of Bikram Yoga can totally alter your life. It’s amazing how Yoga can trigger your life and change your perspectives.

In order to be productive with the healing process of Bikram Yoga, you need attachment in practicing it. The poses and hot air replenishes the cells with flushing toxins in our body. It also oxygenates blood throughout our body maintaining it clean and healthy.

Male 2 Stretching

Anyone who wishes to do yoga can use Bikram Yoga. It chooses no age at all. This type of yoga works with balancing, stretching and creating pressure which is all done at a same time to keep a good blood flow to all the parts of the body. So next time when you don’t know if it is bickram yoga, bikhram yoga, bikrahm yoga, bikrham yoga, or bikrum yoga, just say hot yoga.

I started doing Bikram Hot Yoga last summer (2008).

My first experience was pure hell. I chalked it up to the fact that I was toxic, out of shape, unable to manage heat, and had a very small screw loose in my head!! :D

I did however go back. After several months of being unable to sleep, I did sleep that night… like a baby. You can read the rest of my story here if you’re interested: http://blog.cafeyogi.com/2009/01/why-bikram-hot-yoga/

Yeah, its a long class, its hot, it takes more than I’ve got on the best of days… but the benefits (which are immediate) are too many to count.

Will everyone do or enjoy Bikram Hot Yoga? No definitely not… but the ones who are able to get past the very first class and give it an honest shot will invariably adopt it as an essential part of their life.

Thanks for the opportunity to share my wonderful experience with Bikram Hot Yoga. Peace!
